Relationships

Do you want healthier relationships?

In the beginning of a new relationship, we often wear rose colored glasses. The excitement of a new crush overshadows the clues that this person may not be a good match for us. Still, we proceed. We get involved with a partner that brings their own flaws, problems, and past hurts into the relationship. We are unknowingly attracted to partners that will often repeat old, unhappy patterns in the relationship with us.

In any relationship, conflict is inevitable. Conflict itself is not problematic; it’s how we behave and communicate when frustrated, angry or disappointed that gets us into trouble. While we can’t control what others say and do, we can control how we respond in the midst of strong emotions. If you would like to be able to have all of your feelings, articulate your thoughts more clearly and respond appropriately during a conflict, we can work on constructive ways for you to relate to others in your life.

Whether you are single and looking, currently in a relationship or have recently ended a relationship, we can work on breaking old patterns and expand the ways you relate to others. You don’t have to wait until you need couples therapy; you can begin your own self-work regardless of your relationship status. You can learn how to create healthier relationships in your life and how to let go of ones that aren’t good for you.
