Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety doesn’t have to rule your life.

Anxiety is a condition that can affect you both mentally and physically. Anxiety creates chronic doubt, uncertainty and worry that keeps you from enjoying your life. You can’t shut off these uncomfortable thoughts and so find it hard to concentrate. You may use distractions to “get you out of your head.” It can also take on physical forms. Constant tension and stress makes your neck, shoulders and chest sore and tight. You may get headaches or feel uncomfortable in your own skin. You feel restless, unable to relax.

Anxiety can impact all areas of our lives. At work, it keeps you from focusing and accomplishing your goals. It can show up as perfectionism, keeping you from being productive because you’re afraid it’s not good enough. In relationships, you feel insecure and need constant reassurance. You expect negative outcomes in your interactions and are exhausted trying to manage people and situations to try to keep the worst from happening.

Talking helps. Talk therapy provides a discharge for anxious energy clogging up the nervous system. In the short term, talking can provide stress relief and reduce tension levels. Over the long term, talking can create new neural pathways in your brain. Instead of your anxious thoughts playing on a continuous loop, you can channel this energy into more constructive actions. Talking can drain anxiety of its power over you. You gain a greater sense of control and can eventually engage in healthier self talk that better serves you and your life.

  • Take constructive actions in your life

  • Feel more secure in relationships
